C&M Conveyor has announced the completion of its $3.2 million building expansion to consolidate its manufacturing operations in Mitchell, IN and to open a new executive office/engineering/design-center in Bloomington, IN.
“The purpose of the expansion was to get all manufacturing in one place, which allows us to streamline our manufacturing processes and increase our capacity,” said Don Laipple, CEO. “We are now fully operational and ready to meet the industry’s growing demand for C&M Conveyor’s products in the future.”
The new executive office/engineering/design center in Bloomington represents a renewed emphasis on product development and enhancements, and adapting the company’s existing designs to new applications, he added.
The building project is part of a major growth initiative that started nearly three years ago to add capacity and increase productivity in all areas of the company’s operations. C&M’s growth included the addition of eight key managers and significant investment in advanced manufacturing processes, engineering hardware and software, and shop floor equipment.
